Not only do I love McSweeney’s with all my heart, but, thanks to their new McSweeney’s Recommends it seems that we both have such similar tastes that we are meant to be bff. Exempli gratia:

Radiolab
This irregularly occurring radio program from WNYC is a sort of This American Life for science. The show is always informative and engaging. If only we found science this much fun in high school.

I ALSO love Radiolab! I may or may not have a mancrush on Jad Abumrad and wish that Robert Krulwich were my uncle.

Greek yogurt
We’re not sure how it’s different from regular yogurt, but it just tastes zestier. Best with fruit in the bottom so it all mixes together into a tart, tasty slurry.

I’ve recently discovered Greek yogurt thanks to my lovely and yuppie-ish parents (one of whom should be siblings with Robert, but that’s neither here nor there). Delicious! Tip learned from my dad: Throw in frozen berries and the smaaaaaaaaallest bit of honey. YUM!

Sneezing
Let it go, let it rocket you backward, feel the release, don’t bring it up short. Hot damn, it feels good.

I SNEEZE ALL THE TIME! (Another post for a future discussion is how unmanly allergies are, but that’s NOT THE POINT)

The Summer Olympics
Yes, for many they may seem less relevant than ever, but we still have a soft spot for the games. Those few seconds before the starting pistol fires in the 100-meter dash will always be electric.

I was just telling someone how much I love the Summer Olympics (winter can suck it) so obviously this means that they read my mind!

Amy’s organic frozen pizzas
They’re a couple bucks more than the average frozen za, but they somehow seem a bit fresher and there’s a pleasant wheatiness to the crust that we think you’ll enjoy.

My only qualifier is that pretty much anything Amy makes (and then subsequently freezes and leaves up to you reheat at your convenience) is not only delicious, but not terrible for you.

The list goes on (30 Rock! Glarkware Tshirts! Cumin (the spice..as opposed to the inevitable indie rock band)! College BBall over the Pros!), as does my love for McSweeney’s.
